Norfolk and Western Class J #611
Since the 611 wasn’t planned to come up to B-Line out of Manassas this year, I went down to see her on a Roanoke to Walton, Va trip on the NS Christiansburg District. I promised my girls I’d take them to the Mill Mountain Zoo so there wasn’t time for a chase, but we at least got to see one good run-by in Lafayette, Virginia. It was amazing. I never tire of seeing Norfolk and Western Class J #611. Here’s a photo and video:

The Zoo Choo
The Mill Mountain Zoo is a small zoo, but definitely worth a visit. In addition to the animals, they also have a miniature train that is painted up like the NS Office Car Special!
