Norfolk Southern train 289 is seen today passing by the control point named Woods in Front Royal, Virginia as the train heads east on the NS B-Line. NS often names their control points after people and I believe that was the case with both Cody and Woods.
The containers on the head-end of the train are filled with trash; NS has begun transporting trash containers on a variety of their trains as of late.
Power was a pair of AC44C6Ms which are re-builds from D9-44CWs. The lead unit, NS 4838, still looks pretty fresh in new paint from its her June 2024 release date. Here’s the photo:
