An Hour in Ashland, Virginia

On Saturday, my oldest daughter rode her team bus to a cross country meet outside of Richmond, Virginia.  My youngest daughter and I drove down to the meet to watch and stopped for dinner in Ashland around 5:00p.  The weather was really nice and we ate outside right by the tracks at the Caboose Market and Cafe.  As soon as we parked, an Amtrak was heading south through the town without stopping….  just looking at schedules, I’m guessing it was the Silver Star.  Next, a NB Amtrak came through again without stopping…  guessing this was the Palmetto.  It was followed by a NB CSX mixed freight. The next train was the northbound Amtrak Northeast Regional train 124 which did stop at the station. The final train we saw at 6:00p as we go back to our parked car was the southbound Amtrak Auto Train. Pictures and videos are below.
